The Pinnacle Award is presented to the best construction projects in their respective Categories. The Pinnacle not only represents the great quality of work put in place but it also includes our Clients perspective of us and how you all helped enhance the communities in which these projects are located.
The projects that represented Crowder were the Lockhart Project (SC9) and the Toxaway Pedestrian Suspension Bridge DB Project. These jobs are great examples of what our Heavy Civil division does and special congratulations to all those that worked on these projects.

Crowder is working with the Hampton Roads Sanitation District (HRSD) in Virginia at its Atlantic Treatment Plant and in the City of Raleigh in North Carolina at its Neuse River Water Resource Recovery Facility to help implement successful Thermal Hydrolysis Process (THP) strategies. The THP is a relatively new process by which sludge is heated and pressurized with the purpose of reducing organic solids to make them more readily biodegradable, generally before anaerobic digestion.

Crowder is managing both the SWIFT Research Center and Woodstock Park Equalization Tank projects and was a part of the team that conducted a sustainability evaluation of the projects using the Envision framework during the design phase.

Crowder was honored to receive two design-build project awards at the recent DBIA-Southeast annual awards banquet. The Calls Creek Water Reclamation Facility (WRF) Upgrades for Oconee County was named the Best Public Sector Renovation/Rehabilitation Project. Crowder, in collaboration with engineering consultant Constantine, constructed upgrades to the county’s existing WRF.
